12/23/2023 0 Comments Shortcuts lightroom classic![]() ![]() Look at PFixer's customization it's perfect. So if these two smallcompanies can make these customizable keyboard shortcuts for Lightroom Classic, why can't Adobe?! Adobe, take note, this is needed and won't cost you anything to enable. ![]() Now the iOS update to Ventura just killed the program. In came PFixer by PusherLabs, which was much the same, but sped up my workflow about 10x faster than by changing controls with a mouse and sliders. No longer did I need to look away from the screen to click around with my mouse. Thanks for taking the time to read.įor many years I sped up my editing significantly with the 3rd party program, VSCO Keys, which gave customizable keyboard shortcuts to literally anything you could want (ie: brightness, contrast, saturation, upright guides, etc.). I think the primary reason this has not been done is to not hurt the sales of aftermarket solutions (either software or, and mainly, hardware) but I don't care. I feel it would be a somewhat easy implement for the developpers but would give so much to the users. (currently the + or - slider feature only works in Develop module and you have to manually select whatever slider you want making it super slow). For example, you can set exposure +0.3EV with just the push of a button, even in Library module, etc. What it allows you to do is : basically anything you want. I don't want to rant anymore, I'll just say my personal opinion is that for such an incredible software used by so many people (Lightroom is the industry standard) it absolutely should have been built in, a long long time ago. ![]() The plugin died when Lightroom got updated and support for this plugin was abandonned, rendering it unusable.Ī lot of people have been wanting to get custom shortcuts since then (and to be honest, since way before since the plugin was an extra purchase). You can set exposure +0.3EV with just the push of a button, even in Library module, etc.īack in 2015, this was easy with a plugin called VSCO Keys. Short version : It's awesome, for example, it allows you to cull AND retouch pictures using only a gaming controller, which is much more ergonomic and faster than using a keyborad and mouse. This change means that I couldn’t find the answer simply by googling it as I was either getting results for the US shortcut or the older German one.I would really like to be able to set custom shortcuts in Lightroom Classic. Thanks Adobe!Įarlier Adobe used the shortcut “SHIFT-S” in the German version – but since LR4 this is the shortcut for the Softproof mode so they dropped it. “Wenn Sie die Vorher- und Nachher-Ansicht in der Lupenansicht einzeln umschalten möchten, drücken Sie die Taste mit dem umgekehrten Schrägstrich (\)”Īnd for this “great” localization performance we Germans still have to pay much more than the regular US price + taxes. – and, obviously, it still isn’t available in the lower command area where the other before-after options are (even though there is still much room left) so that I could at least click on it with the friggin mouse or my Wacom pen!Īdditionally, Adobe still hasn’t fully localized their web help information and shows the non-working shortcuts for the US version as this excerpt proves: – not present in the keyboard shortcuts screen for the development mode you can get in the help dropdown menu. I mean, neither the function nor the shortcut is available on the menu… – not present in the dropdown menu that includes the other Before/After view options. There literally was NO other way to get this shortcut as it is But I didn’t tweak the resources file – I got the working keyboard shortcut for this simple but very helpful function from it (=> “SHIFT-V”). ![]()
